Hi everyone!
Hello again from the Junior Room and I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely Spring weather. We have been working really hard over the last few weeks and especially when it comes to Art. We have been lucky to have had a lady in who works with Junior and Senior Infants to teach us all about ‘Print.’ We have been really enjoying her lessons. She has taught us about ‘Print’ all around us and the elements that make up ‘Print.’
Over the past few weeks we have been exploring pattern and texture. We have worked on this area by doing rubbings, printing and use of collage.
In S.E.S.E we have been using ‘feely bags’ to examine texture and used our environment to discover everyday textures around us.
In Maths and Music we have been inventive with copying patterns and creating our own. A world full of pattern and texture is a fun world for infants and we have thoroguhly enjoyed this topic.
